Rinchen

Rinchen needs sponsors!

Rinchen is attending one of the most prestigious tourism management colleges in the country where he is pursuing BBA (Bachelors in Business Administration) in Tourism and Travel Management. Rinchen plans to develop and lead an eco-spiritual tourism venture for the community in this region.

Rinchen is very grateful for the parenting he has received at Jhamtse Gatsal. "I have kept changing my interests, but now I am interested in “Eco Spiritual Tourism” This would be a benefit to protecting the culture, the environment and provide the opportunity to be a job-creator in the region, to help local youth."

Rinchen was one of the first children accepted to Jhamtse Gatsal in 2006.

Below is an interview with Rinchen that originally appeared on The Jhamtse International Facebook page.

Q. Do you have some thoughts to share with the sponsors or donors of Jhamtse Gatsal?

A. There is saying ‘a blind person can’t walk without a stick’. Without the support and contribution of your kindness, we are helpless,  even if we have potential and talent. I want to say “Thank you” on the behalf of all the students of Jhamtse Gatsal. I promise that when I grow older, I will also work for others. I will support and help others when they need.

Q. What do you want to tell your younger siblings at Jhamtse Gatsal?

A. I want to tell my siblings at Gatsal that the students of Jhamtse are the luckiest kids in this world. We have a huge family to support and guide for us. Study hard and be kind. Never give up in your life. Try to achieve your goal to support other people. Many people achieve their goals but few people support others.

Q. What does Jhamtse Gatsal mean to you?

A. Jhamtse Gatsal is my home. It is not only a school for me, but I think of Jhamtse Gatsal is more meaningful. Students learn Arts, Music, Dance and Sports. Jhamtse Gatsal is home for the students to discover their talents and potentials. It is a home where they get care, love and guidance.
