Greetings from Jhamtse Gatsal! In this newsletter, we share an inspirational short video of our founder, Lobsang Phuntsok, talking about why he is alive today. From his first steps into the Monastery to the founding of Jhamtse Gatsal, Lobsang shares the meaning and purpose of his life. We are grateful to our friends at ServiceSpace (Awakin and Laddership Circles) for enabling us to share this video. In their words, it is the product of "collectively holding space with Lobsang as he graciously steered us with raw humanity and tender humor through the terrain of his unlikely path in service."
Jhamtse Gatsal's purpose is to raise (love), educate (heart, mind, and body), and nurture (compassion) children with unlimited potential to blossom into their most amazing selves. For example, 5-year-old Tenzin D. and 8-year-old Tenzin P. are two young girls who recently joined the Community with joy in their hearts. As they need sponsors, we are grateful to share this opportunity to support them along their journey to discovering meaning and purpose in their lives.

Tenzin is a sweet and joyful child. She doesn't talk much, but she loves to spend time with her friends. Whenever she has free time, she enjoys seeing pictures from books, and she likes to draw them as well. Her favorite food is momo.
Tenzin enjoys listening to Hindi and Bhutanese songs and reading comic books. Her favorite subject is Hindi. After reading comics, she loves to share the story with her friends. Tenzin always carries a smile on her face and loves spreading joy with the people in the Community.
