Mark Foley

Mark has been a student, friend and supporter of Venerable Lobsang Phuntsok since 2001.  Along with a remarkable team of volunteers he helped launch Jhamtse International in 2005.  Mark, who has 30 years of global sales and marketing experience in the software industry, balances three life passions: family, friends and Jhamtse.  In 2008, Mark combined all three with a visit to the Jhamtse Gatsal Children’s Community (JGCC) with his oldest daughter Rebecca and a group of friends.    

“We had already decided to help Lobsang and Jhamtse International as long as we could. Spending time at JGCC deepened our commitment.   Seeing the transformative power of love and compassion permeate this community and an entire Himalayan region changed our lives forever.  The world needs more Jhamtse Gatsals (gardens of love and compassion). We look forward to helping make that happen.”
